Wow, did May fly by! Things are heating up here over on the West Coast, and this California native couldn’t be more excited! I sometimes miss living in the Midwest, but this sunshine makes up for it. Because of the change of weather, I have implemented some new products in my routine to change it up. Here are the products I kept reaching for in May!
–Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer : When it’s hotter outside, my skin takes a turn for the oilier. Because of this, I transition to a lighter moisturizer. I’ve had trouble in the past because my skin can still become dry due to various acne products I use. This moisturizer from Simple Skin Care is light enough for spring/summer wear, but still gives my skin the moisture it craves. Pick some up here.
–Bare Minerals Eyeshadow Duo in Top Shelf : Saying I am obsessed with this eye shadow duo is an understatement. I find myself grabbing for this on the daily! These colors transition perfectly from day to night and are a great addition to any makeup collection. Get the duo here.
–Frank Body Scrub : I came across this product on Instagram a few months ago, but finally decided to purchase it about a month ago after reading reviews. I have suffered from back acne for the last two years, and this is the only product that has gotten rid of it! It scrubs off all of the dead skin and leaves your skin feeling and looking amazing! –Thug Kitchen Cookbook : Being a newly adopted vegan ( 7 months, yay!), I am constantly looking for yummy recipes to add to my repertoire. One of my foodie friends introduced me to Thug Kitchen and I fell in love. The recipes are really easy to implement into my everyday life, and the book hilariously written. Fave so far? –Sun Bum Sunscreen : If you’re looking for great sun protection and a great smelling product, Sun Bum has you covered! When I first found this at my local Ulta, I could not get over how great this smells. Because the sun has been out lately, I’ve been using this product daily on my arms and shoulders. –Kate Spade Metro Watch : I’ve just recently gotten into the watch game, and I’m loving it! The light color of this watch makes it easy to pair with almost everything and the simple design is classic. I typically layer it with some Alex and Ani bangles for a casual look. Get the look here.
-Mario Badescu Healing & Soothing Mask : I have been using Mario Badescu’s skincare line for a while now, and am pleased with the results. I have been using their Drying Mask and was recommend to add the Healing & Soothing Mask to my routine. It adds hydration without taking away the benefits of the Drying Mask. A+ in my book!
